Day 1 – Jeep Tour Adventure & Desert Camp

Arrival & Welcome in Wadi Rum

Begin your Wadi Rum desert adventure with a warm welcome at our office in Rum Village. Enjoy a traditional cup of Bedouin tea while meeting your local guide, who will lead your tour through Wadi Rum desert.

Lawrence’s Spring

A historical desert spring linked to T.E. Lawrence (“Lawrence of Arabia”), surrounded by desert fig trees and ancient inscriptions. It’s a peaceful spot where camels and Bedouins still drink today. From here, you’ll enjoy wide views of the valley and get a first glimpse of the vastness of Wadi Rum.

Red Sand Dune (Umm Ishrin)

Climb or slide down the soft red sands of one of Wadi Rum’s most iconic dunes. Popular for sandboarding and photography, this spot offers a fun break and beautiful contrast between red dunes and sandstone cliffs. It’s also a great place for kids and adults alike.

Khazali Canyon

Walk through a narrow canyon filled with ancient Nabataean and Thamudic petroglyphs carved into the walls. This short walk offers a window into thousands of years of desert history and spirituality. Cool and shaded, it’s a unique stop along the tour.

Little Rock Bridge

A small natural arch that you can easily climb for panoramic views over the surrounding desert. The bridge sits atop a low rock formation and makes a great photo stop. It’s one of the easier arches to access in Wadi Rum.

Lawrence’s House

These are the remains of a Nabataean structure, traditionally associated with T.E. Lawrence. Whether or not he truly stayed here, the views from this spot are legendary. You’ll learn more about the myths and stories tied to the British officer’s time in the desert.

Mushroom Rock

This unique rock formation was sculpted by centuries of wind erosion and looks just like a giant mushroom sprouting from the sand. It’s a great example of Wadi Rum’s natural rock art and a favorite spot for fun and creative photos.

Abu Khashabah Canyon

Take an easy one-hour walk through this shaded, dramatic canyon of towering sandstone walls. It’s a quiet, beautiful trail that feels far from the world. Your guide will lead you through the path while you enjoy the cool air and echoing silence.

Burdah Rock Bridge (Viewpoint)

From this viewpoint, you’ll see one of the highest and most spectacular natural arches in Wadi Rum. While the full climb is a technical hike, the view from below still showcases the bridge’s massive scale and beauty. A popular photography stop.

Um Fruth Rock Bridge

One of the most famous arches in Wadi Rum, Um Fruth stands 20 meters high and is reachable with a short 5–10 minute climb. Once on top, you’ll be rewarded with wide desert views and a sense of achievement. Great for adventurous travelers.

Panoramic Viewpoint

A stop at one of Wadi Rum’s high desert hills offering 360-degree views of the red and white sand valleys. From here, you’ll see how the landscape shifts in color and texture — a perfect place for a break, some photos, and desert silence.

Chicken Rock

A funny and well-loved formation shaped like a giant chicken standing in the sand. It’s a lighthearted stop where travelers often take playful photos. Your guide might share a local story or two about how this rock got its name.

Sunset & Camp Experience

At the end of the day, you’ll head to a peaceful area to watch the sun set behind the mountains, turning the desert golden-red. Later, enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner prepared in a zarb (underground oven), followed by tea, music, stargazing, and a night in our desert camp.

Day 2 – Jebel Hash Hike

Drive to Jebel Hash Area

After breakfast at camp, we’ll drive for about 45 minutes to Wadi Rum’s southern valleys near the Saudi border. These areas are quieter, far from tourist crowds, and rich with desert charm. You’ll pass through wide open landscapes and hidden mountain paths.

Hiking the Ridge of Jebel Hash

Begin a 3–4 hour guided hike along the ridge of Jebel Hash, a rocky mountain stretching east to west. The hike offers incredible views of Wadi Rum to the north and the mountains of Saudi Arabia to the south. Your guide will show you herbs used in Bedouin traditional medicine, making this both a scenic and cultural experience.

Lunch in the Desert

After descending from the ridge, your Bedouin guide will prepare a fresh lunch on an open fire — usually rice, vegetables, and grilled chicken or local options. You’ll rest in the shade, sip tea, and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of desert life.

Return Drive to Rum Village

Following lunch and rest, you’ll take a scenic drive through new valleys and landscapes on your way back to Rum Village. This gives you a final chance to absorb the scale and diversity of Wadi Rum’s desert before the tour ends.

End of Tour

Back in the village, your guide will help you collect any bags or items you left with us. With your heart full of memories and camera full of photos, your 2-day adventure in Wadi Rum comes to an end — ready to continue your journey elsewhere in Jordan.
